Sounds like a great evening planned!
Sun. Jan 20th, 7 PM, Waterline Writers: Writer John Arends maps constellations of soul, conscience, society and planet, while Caroline Johnson gives unmarked milestones careful attention. Gerry Souter finds the train station a cold platform for friendship, Bruce Steinberg’s characters live and breathe like family and friends, and Frank Rutledge takes the mic with words that sing like music or singe like lost love. We'll also invite Slammin’ the Sun Down performers to join in our readings. Water Street Studios, 7 PM, free to all! Like Waterline Writers on Facebook, then Friend Anne Veague or Kevin Moriarity so you can Invite your friends to our events too. (Be sure to check the WLW site for videos of past readings as well.)
(I'm not reading at this one, but I'll be baking some goodies for the snack table. I'm thinking poppy seed cake and maybe vanilla bean sugar cookies this time, if anyone is wondering.)
Oh, I am going to miss this month again (lost in the joy of settling back in) but it sounds like a great program -- and yummy snacks. I look forward to the videos, and to making it in person in February.

So, the question is hockey or Downton Abbey? Man Marion is looking darned good btw. Sharpie...goes without saying. Good to hear Edzo again. Penny is going to have a tough time. Blind hockey is tough on her. Pat Foley gets her so anxious when he gets excited. Going to be a long season...

I'm sorry I missed last night, but I just wasn't feeling up to par. Believe it or not, I'm not a total joy to be around when tired and cranky, so no one missed much by my absence. On the other hand, it seems that I did miss something. Nik is making it sound like it was a particularly good session.

Well, I refuse to believe I would not enjoy being around you when you are cranky. You enjoying being around me...well, that is another matter.
The night reminded me that I need to get myself showing up to the page regularly. I got thrown way off that horse with holidays and all those little things that houses and blind dogs and life and such put in the way. I swear, I don't know where the time goes. I did get out to Garfield though and I thought of you. It is so green and oxygenated there. It's been a while since I had been there and I had forgotten what a hugely restorative place that is in the winter. You need to go. Seriously. You will thank me for it.
