Have You Checked Out PBN?
If you haven't cruised around and surfed my blog roll, I'd like to encourage you to peruse the Positive Blog Network folks.
For my oh so hip and savvy readers, let me be frank with you...I have hesitated to shine too bright a light on this group because I was afraid they might be a little too garden variety self-help and I didn't want to send you all over reading things that you have read a million times already. However, I do have to say I'm seeing more and more good stuff coming out of everyone and I can tell you that they all have some gems to share.
For those of you on a budget, Wise Bread has all kinds of good tips and a really great public announcement post if you should be tempted to do something really stupid with those extra plastic bags you have laying around.
Also I would love to have all you corporate folks read this one, also by Wise Bread on when to walk away.
Steve Olson and Zen Habits also have some nice ones out about personal development. While I haven't always been a big fan of "6 steps for this" and "10 steps for that" there are some very good points in their posts that even a ranting and persnickety dragon slayer can get behind. This post of Steve's can keep you busy for a lifetime if you really take it to heart.
And Nneka has a nice post on spiritual leaders vs. spiritual teachers. It certainly called to mind my occassional frustration with Michael "Guru or Hockey Puck" Schwass and my past frustrations when he failed to be the spiritual icon I was hoping he would be. That was before I realized that paradox is really the rule of thumb for us human types.
And for those of you who don't know what to do when you aren't working and frankly feel bored when you try to relax, here's one from Scott Young.
So, it really is a great group of folks and they are trying to use their powers (and the powers of the web) for good so I encourage you to check them out. And, since there are trillions of blogs now and all us wee ones are trying to find our place in the ocean, if you find posts that you enjoy and are glad you took the time to read either here or anywhere really, give us hard working blog slaves a hand by bookmarking us or submitting us to the social networking sites of your choice. For the VAST majority of us, this is purely unpaid work which we pour hours and hours into. Your show of support and helping us reach a larger audience is very much appreciated. The more you help us reach people, the more time we can devote to writing high quality articles for you. Please help us keep our energy high. Nothing inspires a writer like readers!

Hi Laura, thanks for the spotlight. I am honored to be part of PBN. It really is the cream of the crop in personal growth.
In Spirit,
Nneka

Hi Laura!
Now I've died and gone to heaven lol, when I discovered your blog giving me a synopsis of the other blogs - how incredible is that...?!
I recently came across the Positive Blog Network doing a bit of research, and I've got to tell you I'm enjoying every single trip. No telling what someone might find, learn and share.
The world is in need of inspiration and truth, along with helpful individuals. This network helps fill the bill.
Again, thanks!
