    I have to admit, cleaning the green, fuzzy "science experiments" out of the refrigerator is very therapeutic.

    Saying "I have to be more disciplined" is too vague a statement, though. It's not a surprise that people have difficulty with it. As you mentioned, a mental shift is required. It would be more productive to determine what "disciplined" means and then set that as a specific goal.

    Thanks for your comments. Michelle, you hit a good point here, sometimes people set goals (often in disgust and desperation) that aren't truly goals...just yearnings for feeling better in some way. Drilling down to what find out what is driving the desire is a critical part of long term, meaningful progress to achieve one's goals.
